"Mahalia: A Gospel Musical" The African American Repertory Theater presents this biographic musical chronicling the life of gospel music legend Mahalia Jackson at the Gottwald Playhouse at Richmond CenterStage, with production continuing through Nov. 22. $32-$38. 600 E. Grace St. 225-9000.

"Murder Las Vegas Style" The Mystery Dinner Playhouse performs a murder-mystery comedy featuring a Las Vegas backdrop at the Holiday Inn West End. Performances Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. through Feb. 13. $42. 2000 Staples Mill Road. 649-2583.

"This is How It Goes" The Firehouse Theatre presents Neil Labute's drama of an interracial couple and the visitor that tests its stability, with production continuing through Nov. 21. $10-$25. 1609 W. Broad St. 355-2001.
