Seems there's something real intimidating about that fast-talking man with the gavel and the anxiety over those little numbered paddles, but the modern crop of auctions really runs the spectrum of brows, high and low. Sometimes you need help figuring out the best auction items, though. With events such as Art for Autism and Chop Suey's Punk Rauction, you know you're supporting a good cause, and you might come away with a Wolf Kahn, a tattoo and a better world.
