Sleigh Bells songwriter and producer Derek Miller and vocalist Alexis Krauss must have a secret mission statement about always keeping the volume at 11. Based in Brooklyn, this experimental duo has made it a goal to blow audiences' ears off with crushing noise pop. Juxtaposing crappy stereo guitar distortion and jackhammering electronic beats alongside Krauss' girlish delivery, the group's debut, "Treats," was regarded by some critics as one of the best albums of 2010. Co-headlining with CSS, Sleigh Bells are scheduled to perform at the National on Friday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. $20-$25.
