Shockoe Bottom Jazz Festival at the 17th Street Farmers’ Market

Richmond celebrates its vibrant jazz culture with the Shockoe Bottom Jazz Festival, a daylong music event that will be filled with entertainment, art and food. Headlining the show are Richmond favorites DJ Williams Projekt (pictured), names that are synonymous with the local jazz scene. Rounding out the performances are Stonebrook Moonshine, Paul C. Bagley, the Mystery Ship, the Big Payback and jazz ensembles from Virginia Commonwealth University and high schools. There also will be small jazz ensembles playing throughout the day at LuLu’s and C’est le Vin. The Shockoe Bottom Jazz Festival takes place at the 17th Street Farmers’ Market on Sunday, May 27, from 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Free. shockoejazzfest.com.
