If dancing is how you get your kicks, there will be an abundance of sweaty kick-getting for you this weekend at the Canal Club. Organized by EQ Productions and Dr. Bastard Productions, Shockoball is a two-night festival of 21st-century booty shakers including Evil Ryu, Reinhold, Dreadlock Robot, Ghost Payne and the Polychrons on Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26. Along with all the fevered gyrations, there will be painters, vendors, jewelry makers, art and clothing to take in when you take a break from the rug cutting. The two-floor extravaganza of fevered flitting and indigenous art surely will be an exhausting experience, but if you have ants in your pants and need to dance, this is the way to appease those jitterbugging insects infesting your nether regions. Doors open for the Friday and Saturday dance parties at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the days of. thecanalclub.com.
