Shawn Mullins probably is best known for his 1998 single, “Lullaby,” which thanks to radio airplay, catapulted him into the spotlight. Since then he’s released countless albums and singles. They’ve performed well, but haven’t quite made the mark that “Lullaby” did. With his latest release, “Light You Up,” Mullins brings his upbeat style of rock back to the mainstream, and many critics have said that it could be his best album yet. Shawn Mullins comes to Ashland Coffee and Tea on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 8 p.m. $18-$23. 798-1702.
