While she has never returned to the commercial high that came with her 1997 single, “Sunny Came Home,” from her Grammy award-winning album, “A Few Small Repairs,” folk artist Shawn Colvin has hardly waned in maintaining a loyal following. Relying on effortless, well-crafted tunes and her own placid lyrical delivery, Colvin seems content with the power of musical simplicity. Supporting the release of “Live,” an album compiled during a three-night stint in San Francisco playing stripped-down acoustic sets, Colvin is scheduled to perform at reserved seated show at the National on Friday, June 18, at 7:30 p.m. $20-$35. 612-1900.
