Re: “Event Pick: Meet-A-Bandmate for First Time’s The Charm RVA

Despite having a small international following and musical collaborators around the world, thirty years of songwriting, and being a pioneer of the DIY cassette "home recording" blip in indie music history, I am unknown in Richmond. I have always sensed an intense snobbery and pecking order hereabouts that seems completely without reason. So...this headline piques my interest. I click on it. And, the kind of "diversity" addressed is that same old diversity: gender, sexuality, etc. No box for me to check. I would like to meet other musicians who feel they don't fit the scene and don't want to, who don't take themselves seriously, and have a sense of humor. Look me up online. I'm everywhere you are except at a gig in Richmond.

Re: “Musical Couples: Richmonders Find Love Through Record Collecting

So Jealous!

53 year old SWM with good job seeks female musician and/or record collector. I am funny. I have all my own teeth. At least I assume they are mine. Find me on Facebook. Scott Brookman

Re: “The Builders

The shirt is ill-advised and insensitive if not completely offensive.

I don't understand a line from your article, however: " Richmond is VCU's home, not the other way around." What does that mean? How could that happen? How could a university be the home of a city? That doesn't make sense on any level, not unlike the t-shirt.

And, yes, "we helped revitalize this city" is certainly more accurate.
