For the past few months, the creative minds of Richmond promoters Community Chest have been waging their own personal blitzkrieg on Richmond's independent music scene, bringing in the kind of under-the-radar artists that make hanging out in left field a pretty hip place to be. In what looks to be the biggest little show thus far, Plaza Bowl hosts a special performance with the likes of Seattle's rising indie-pop stars Say Hi and Telekinesis. While supporting their respective albums, “Oohs & Aahs” and “Telekinesis!” you'll take a crash course in why mainstream music lost its way a long time ago, and why the solution may be where the duckpins roam, on Wednesday, March 25, at 10 p.m. $10. 233-8799. — Mike Hilleary
