Sarah McCalla, 14

Goochland Middle

Sarah and the band volunteer their time to help raise money for various public service and charity events. "It's great to help out the community in a way we enjoy," Sarah says.

In addition to playing in the band, Sarah is an avid equestrian and competes in show jumping, hunting and equitation. She's an instructor in beginning and intermediate equitation, as well as basic equine management. Sarah also makes dog, cat and horse treats to sell at her barn and at local horse shows, donating the proceeds to the American Humane Association.

But her focus is her music. "I love our live performances and seeing the reaction on people's faces," she says. "I definitely see music in my future."
