It’s been more than a decade since Richmond-based singers and songwriters Robbin Thompson and Steve Bassett have played the same stage. The duo’s 1978 collaboration, “Together,” shot both musicians’ names into the mainstream and brought in hundreds of new fans. The two also wrote the song “Sweet Virginia Breeze,” which many people consider the unofficial state song of Virginia. The duo reunites for a night of music featuring acoustic songs from “Together” and full band solo sets performed by Thompson, Bassett and several other surprise guests. Robbin Thompson and Steve Bassett get back together at the National on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 8 p.m. $20-$25. 612-1900.
