Richmond is about to get fashion bombed. Billed as the Richmond Flashmob Fashion Show, local designers and models will bombard the city with pop-up performance fashion shows starting Friday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Carytown, before catwalking their way downtown. Adding to the intrigue, the locations for these mobile voguing sessions won’t be announced till Friday, with those involved sworn to secrecy until then. The taking-it-to-the-streets effort is being organized by the Virginia Commonwealth University design and fashion collective R.A.I.N, with emphasis on audience interaction. Featured threads come from Rumors Boutique, Runway Couture, Premiere Costumes, Jet, Notorious Styles and SFR1 Intl. For the schedule of events, visit facebook.com/R.A.I.N.RVA on Friday. — Chris Bopst
