Many people have had to suffer through those snoozy presentations on fiscal-year-end reports or how to improve synergy in the workplace. The Richmond Comedy Coalition shines a comedic light on PowerPoint presentations with a competition called BattleDecks. Participants will improvise live presentations based on sets of PowerPoint slides they’ve never seen. The topics range from the slightly absurd to the absolute bizarre. The Coalition promises that it’s going to be as ridiculous as it sounds. The top winner gets bragging rights and a laser-etched iPad Mini. Competitors have been selected, but there are a few slots open for volunteers from the audience. BattleDecks takes place at Balliceaux on Saturday, March 30, at 8:30 p.m. $5. rvacomedy.com/battledecks.
