Red Elvises at Capital Ale House

One of the first things you'll notice when the Russian-based band the Red Elvises perform on stage is that bass player Oleg Bernov prefers to play on a traditional balalaika, a huge triangular shaped instrument that hides most of his skinny frame. Known for their vibrant live shows and rockabilly sound, with a twist of homeland's flavor, the Red Elvises have made a self-proclaimed name for themselves as America's No. 1 Singing Sweethearts. The band can be seen sporting its neon animal-print suits, reminiscent of Elvis' Las Vegas days, on Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Capital Ale House Music Hall at 9 p.m. $10. 780-ALES.
