After our Feb. 9 Street Talk about RVA Creates, a campaign to seek public input on a stronger brand identity for Richmond, readers started sending in suggestions for city slogans at Styleweekly.com and at Facebook.com/Styleweekly. Here are a few:

Richmond: The Town that drove Edgar Allan Poe crazy. — Anonymous, Feb. 11, 7:14 p.m.

Richmond: Now with less Murder! — D. Travis Brandel

How about, “Where people who went to high school together go on to sell each other cars and groceries”? — Anonymous, Friday, Feb. 11, 1:51 p.m.

“RVA [blank]”? Isn't that MySpace's tagline? — Kevin Tuskey, Feb. 9, 2:54 p.m.

RVA: Sending our kids to be educated in the counties since 1985. — YesSir!, Feb. 13, 9:15 p.m.

Richmond's true heritage is tobacco. Tobacco was the foundation of the United States, keeping Jamestown alive when all other products failed to find a European market. So how about “RVA Smokes!” Never mind, you can't handle the truth. — Anonymous, Feb. 9, 9:04 a.m.

We're Not Detroit! — Daniel Thomas

Richmond, Where If All Your Dreams Come True, You Can Join the Country Club of Virginia. — Anonymous, Feb. 11, 2:43 p.m.

Richmond: Where most of the people are pretty cheerful, on the whole, about having gotten stuck here in one way or another. — Anonymous, Feb. 11, 1:54 p.m.

Richmond, the city of taglines. Really, another one? Don't we have about 10 now? — Sheryl Marencik

What about “Richmond: Beautiful. Busy. Wild.” Touching on the architecture, commerce and the river? — Phil Riggan, Feb. 11, 10:55 p.m.

RVA: Learning From Our History of Mistakes. — Bill Thompson, Feb. 9, 5:35 p.m.
