Preaching the Gospel of Strings 

Renowned for his performing abilities, Lawson single-handedly brought harmony singing back into the mainstream of new acoustic music in the '70s. His extensive list of albums just got longer in 2002 with "The Hard Game of Love." Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver are back at West End Assembly of God Saturday (Jan. 4), 7:30 p.m. 401 N. Parham Road.
