History, equestrian and My Little Pony buffs alike should delight in the "World Famous" Lipizzaner Stallions, visiting Richmond for their 37th season. Bred into existence in the 16th century during the Habsburg monarchy, the stallions were originally used by nobility, often in battle. Much of the stallions' warfare movements are now preserved as equestrian art. In the show, the stallions perform maneuvers with cool names like mezair (standing on hind legs) and capriole (leaping through the air). The stallions wage war on the Richmond Coliseum Saturday, Nov. 17, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20-$30.50. Call 780-4970 or visit www.richmondcoliseum.net.
