Planters Day 

When: Sat., May 27, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia will present its annual event, Planters Day, at historic Magnolia Grange to interpret life on the farm in Chesterfield County during the 1860s. There will be costumed re-enactors, living history, exhibitors, period music, period demonstrations of crafts and trades (including a potter, doctor, midwife, carpenter and chair caner) and period children’s activities. This outdoor event is free and open to the public. Magnolia Grange house will be open for tours and all items from the gift shop will be 50 percent off. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
