While Papadosio is most often classified as a jam band, the group’s music spans many genres and dabbles in a little bit of everything. Formed in Athens, Ohio, the band has been making waves in the jam scene since 2006. The group combines assorted musical traditions with modern electronica that’s full of ambient, mind-expanding music with high, energetic dance beats and over-the-top vocals. After two popular records, in October the band released its latest album, “To End the Illusion of Separation,” which rabid fans are eating up. Papadosio performs at the National on Monday, Dec. 31, at 8 p.m. $25-$30. thenationalva.com.
