Paolo Garbanzo at the Byrd Theatre

Sunday, Aug. 24. 4 p.m.

Life is one big juggling act. Too often though, the act is mired in necessity and not in the promotion of frivolity. Richmond native Paolo Garbanzo, an international juggling sensation and official jester of Muncaster Castle, makes his living doing both: He pays the bills by making people laugh. Billed as the One-Man Family Circus, the world-renowned performer brings his comedic talents to the Byrd Theatre on Sunday, Aug. 24, to raise money for the theater’s much-needed restoration campaign, Journey to the Seats, with his “defying death and Darwinism” performance. Suitable for children of all ages, things start getting flung into the air at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5-$10.
