Co-presenters and art historians Dr. Elizabeth O’Leary, former VMFA associate curator of American art, and Jessica Witek, M.A., discuss various ways that American artists and architects responded to World War I. The talk features paintings by George Bellows and Childe Hassam, as well as Virginia’s World War I Memorial, the Carillon, in Richmond’s Byrd Park.
