Ol' Dirty Guitarist

After six years as the guitarist for New Orleans' legendary Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Jamie McLean left the group in 2006 and struck out on his own. The split was amicable, so you won't hear him dishing about touring with a bunch of blowhards who think their spit valves don't stink. Instead, expect to hear some solid jam-band rock sounds that recall The Rolling Stones, Thhe Black Crowes and The Band at Cary Street Cafe Friday, May 30, at 10 p.m. $7. 353-7445. -- C.B.
