In today's downsizing economy, the professionally inexperienced college graduate with an art degree is, much like the grad with a journalism degree, perhaps wondering how to make the most of said education. (Now that I think of it, isn't everyone?) But fortunately for these creatively inclined visualists — the painters, printmakers, sculptors and other artists — they're embedded in a city that enjoys the stuff. Nearly every Friday is devoted to celebrating it. Bracing for the possibilities ahead, VCUarts presents the aptly titled exhibit, “I Love It Against My Better Judgment,” showcasing the best of the department's 2009 class. Opening April 24 at 5 p.m. and running through April 26, the show is free to anyone looking to catch a glimpse of the area's next big talent. 1000 W. Broad St. 828-2787. — Mike Hilleary
