Icelandic indie-pop outfit Of Monsters and Men formed in 2009 and quickly became a mainstream hit in the United States because of the group’s full-length debut, “My Head Is an Animal,” and the chart-topping single, “Little Talks.” Musically, their style frequently is compared to such indie groups as Arcade Fire and Mumford and Sons, and they’ve been selling out venues across the country. In September the group released its second single, “Mountain Sound,” and already is working on new material. Of Monsters and Men performs at the National as part of XL102’s Miracle on Broad Street on Monday, Nov. 26, at 8 p.m. $25-$28. thenationalva.com.
