Nuclear Power Helps Fight Global Warming

Your omission illustrates the fact that people often fail to relate a new fact to their everyday lives, despite having a vague concern in their minds. Both your Dominion Virginia Power spokesperson and your Sierra Club spokesperson failed to mention the connection in their arguments, preferring to focus on local concerns for or against the project that might be important before we understand global warming.

I am a bit disappointed that your reporter missed the mark. To a climatologist, global warming is the really compelling reason to build nuclear plants instead of coal-burning plants.
