No Bungles in this "Jungle"

Theatre IV's "Jungle Book."

For the under-10 crowd that it targets, this show's style is more important than its story. As usual, Theatre IV delivers. Director and choreographer Susan Sanford makes maximum use of her talented five-member cast and enhances the script with clever blocking (the zombie kick-line is a great visual joke). The original music composed by Julie Fulcher is consistently surprising, largely percussive but with strong and sinuous melodies. There are no "Bare Necessities," but still a lot of rhythm and Baloo at the Barksdale Theatre, Thursdays-Sundays until Nov. 14. Tickets are $12. 344-8040.— D.L. Hintz
