Neko Case pretties up the National

You can't say somebody hasn't benefited from the unexpected closure of Toad's Place. What should have been a marquee couple of days for the Canal Walk venue has turned into a profitable opportunity for the National. While the likelihood of catching the poker-faced pop princess Lady Gaga is mighty slim (something about it being sold out), there's still plenty of space to see the equally lovely Neko Case. Bringing her fiery red hair, Southern-roots Americana, and her voice, the Voice of a Thousand Highway Heartbreaks, she'll play tunes off her latest album, “Middle Cyclone,” at the National on Monday, April 6, at 7 p.m. The moral of this story: Pay your rent. $22-$25.
