Moving Pictures

No digital here, though a DV version is planned for the fall. Flicker is strictly old-school. For those without their own camera, we've provided a cutout flip book — the original old-school of moving pictures — of Flicker founder James Parrish. He started the event (based on one in Chapel Hill, N.C.) five years ago and will host an anniversary show Wednesday (April 30) at the Canal Club, 1545 E. Cary St., at 8 p.m. The event continues into the night with live music. $3. www.rmicweb.org.
