The proprietor of the Rogue Gentlemen, John Maher.

The bartender really does know best. Right? You be the judge at the Rogue Gentlemen, 618 N. First St., where some will get inside your head, man! For $11, you get a quick consultation, after which a bartender’s mind and hands will begin to fly and a one-of-a-kind concoction will be set before you. It’s called the dealer’s choice. The pitch: “Tell us, in a couple words, what you like and don’t like and we’ll create a custom cocktail.” Add $4 and you get an upgrade to the gentlemen’s choice, the same idea but with “the very best spirits available.”
