Monster Drawing Rally at 1708 Gallery

Saturday, Dec. 10

Part performance and part art sale, the Monster Drawing Rally at 1708 Gallery offers the unique chance to watch dozens of local artists creating art. As many as 16 artists will be drawing at any given hour and the public is invited to attend and watch as strokes become images and a drawing is born. Each completed work will be up for sale at $65 a pop, with the proceeds going to support 1708 Gallery, a non-profit space for new art. Enjoy an afternoon of performance art highlighted by holiday treats, a selection of local beers and a chance to buy a distinctive gift for an art-lover or even yourself, all while contributing to a great local gallery. The Monster Drawing Rally takes place on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 12:30-6 p.m. $5. 643-1708.
