Philadelphia-based rock band mewithoutYou has a fiery, raw appeal that’s been catching fans’ attention since its 2002 full-length debut, “[A —> B] Life.” The band’s known for its mix of experimental rock structures, punk energy, spoken-word vocals and Judeo-Muslim-Christian themes. After opening for bands such as Dredg and Coheed and Cambria and releasing a string of successful albums, the band’s fifth full-length studio effort, “Ten Stories,” was released in May. It received high marks from Alternative Press and MTV. The band mewithoutYou performs at Canal Club on Monday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. $15-$17. thecanalclub.com.
