Meredith Bell sang in church choirs for years before realizing music was her future. With a sound that’s reminiscent of groups such as Evanescence, Flyleaf and Sevendust, Bell quickly started making a name for herself in the Pennsylvania music scene with her fiery energy. Her recently released debut EP, “The Awakening,” quickly started gaining traction. An alumna of the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School, Bell will make her hometown debut as well as celebrate her birthday with Saint Diablo, Madrone, Elisium and Play Dead at Cullen’s Cove on Friday, Jan. 4, at 8 p.m. $10. facebook.com/meredithbellmusic.
