Country music artists Martina McBride and Trace Adkins come across as a good fit for a live show. With Adkins, you have your good-natured roughneck, recognized by a reliable baritone and a penchant for traditional honky-tonk sensibilities. With McBride, you're privy to an arsenal of female-minded anthems that have few qualms about crossing into more pop-oriented influences. With numerous songs between them having reached the top of the Billboard country charts, Adkins and McBride are a regular marriage of sandpaper and softener. Sure to perform songs such as “Independence Day” and “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” the duo is scheduled to perform at the Richmond Coliseum on Friday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. $21-$66.
