Local indie-pop-rock outfit Lightfields says that its music will live on inside the heads of its listeners. And with heavy guitar riffs, intense vocals and a simple all-out-rock mentality, it’s easy to understand why. Although in its infancy, the group has started to make a name for itself in the local music circuit, performing to standing-room-only crowds at venues such as Weezie’s Kitchen and Bogart’s. Get to the venue early to get a good spot when Lightfields performs at the Republic on Thursday, Dec. 29, at 10 p.m. Free. 592-4444.
