Stand-up comedian Lewis Black is best known for his angry ranting, with which he skewers history, politics, religion and cultural trends. He became a regular on “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart,” offering up rage-filled commentary segments. Success there led to numerous stand-up specials, including “Black on Broadway” and “Red, White and Screwed” for HBO, as well as serving as host of the Comedy Central series “Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil.” He’s also won numerous awards, including a Grammy for best comedy album with “The Carnegie Hall Performance.” Lewis Black performs at Richmond CenterStage on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m. $35-$55. richmondcenterstage.com.
