There are other neighboring places of interest in King William County ("Around the Way," Cover Story, July 2). As you follow Pocahontas Trail on the way to the Pamunkey Reservation you find the re-created village of Lester Manor. In addition, King William County has the oldest courthouse in continuous use in the United States. At the courthouse is the King William County Historical Museum, open on Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. There are also two restored colonial churches: St. John's on Route 30, about 6 miles north of West Point, with a kiosk that traces the history and restoration. At the intersection of routes 628 and 618 is the restored Acquinton Church, open from dawn to dusk. Both churches are also available for weddings and family reunions.
