Let Us Be Grateful for Tobacco Money

I agree with Jack Lauterback and thanks so much Altria. In case no one remembers, Richmond thrived for decades because of the presence of Philip Morris, now Altria. This company employed thousands, provided the best wages, health care benefits and retirements for scores of people. And Altria did this on top of having to pull advertisements to promote their product and then run advertising campaigns to discourage people from using their products, pay billions in lawsuits to the state to cover the health care cost for those who use their products, deal with legislation that prevents people from smoking in bars, restaurants and even outside. In spite of all this, the company gives back to the community and the sanctimonious community turns up their noses to a gift? Richmond, what bad manners you have!
