Less than Jake’s ska-inspired punk music has made an impression with fans since the group’s rise to stardom in the ’90s. After a period of releasing only covers and tracks for compilations, the group went into overdrive this year with the release of a new EP, “Greetings from Less than Jake,” and live recordings of popular albums “Hello Rockview” and “Losing Streak,” which are said to be the reason for the band’s success. Less than Jake performs at Fantoberfest, a day-long festival also featuring Kings of Belmont and numerous other local bands — along with microbrews and food from Fan restaurants — on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Broad and Allison streets beside the Republic Restaurant and Bar. $12-$15. 1037river.com/fantoberfest.
