The Atkinsons are, from left, Jeff Williams, Dickie Wood, Jamie Wood, Ricky Breland and Kris Krull.
The drummer for Richmond roots rockers The Atkinsons, Kris Krull, had some recent bad luck in the form of a broken second-story balcony. The resulting fall resulted in weeks of hospital care and mounds of medical bills. To help out the beleaguered time keeper, Poe’s Pub holds a benefit concert Saturday to lighten the man’s epic load. A who’s who of local talent will fill two stages, including Weeping Molly, Eric Hunter and the Distractions, and Mason Wyatt — and yes, The Atkinsons too. Add to this the no-nonsense, everyman culinary wizardry of Steve Jurina in the kitchen and you have the makings of a charitable, fun-filled night. The show starts at 4 p.m. at Poe’s Pub, 2706 E. Main St. Admission is $10.
