Once the butt of many jokes, saxophonist Kenny G has seen a resurgence, including an appearance in the music video for Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night” and a performance with Foster the People on “Saturday Night Live.” Kenny G has reinvented his style many times in the past few years, including 2008’s Latin-inspired “Rhythm and Romance,” 2010’s R&B-infused “Heart and Soul” and this year’s “Namaste India,” a collaboration with Indian classical musician Rahul Sharma. Kenny G will bring it back to his smooth-jazz roots when he performs a holiday concert at Richmond CenterStage on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. $57-$77. 592-3400.
