During the course of his music career, singer and songwriter Keaton Simons has worked as a writer, musical director, bassist and guitarist. The list of his collaborators includes Gnarls Barkley, Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg and Tré Hardson of rap group the Pharcyde. The bluesy musician went on to perform solo, and in 2008 released his popular album “Can You Hear Me,” which had its songs featured in CBS shows including “Numb3rs” and “NCIS.” Simons’ live shows have been said to be full of blues energy and passion that can’t be contained onstage. He’s also been working on new material so fans can expect some surprises. Keaton Simons performs with Jason Adamo at the Canal Club on Thursday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. $10-$12. thecanalclub.com.
