Playing bars and clubs when he was still a teenager, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jackie Greene was plucked from obscurity when the owner of the Dig Music record label caught him playing at an open-mic night. Releasing his debut record, "Gone Wanderin'," in 2002, Greene has been regarded as something of a boy wonder within the Americana and roots community, delivering simple, rollicking songs that blend elements of country, rock, folk and blues. On the road in support of his latest LP, "Till the Light Comes," Jackie Greene is scheduled to perform at the downtown Capital Ale House on Saturday, April 30, at 9 p.m. $15. 643-2537.
