The character of Jessie in the film "Venus" is not a Cockney ("Grandpa of Arabia," Arts & Culture, Feb. 28). A Cockney has to be born within the sound of Bow Bells in London. Jessie's accent places her as being from Yorkshire, probably from West Yorkshire.
