Is There Life After "High School Musical"

Following a quadruple-platinum soundtrack, performances at schools throughout the country and even a best-selling novel, it's about time somebody put "High School Musical" on ice. Debuting in 2006, the film tells the story of a basketball player (Troy) and science geek (Gabriella), who disrupt the natural order when they audition for the winter musical. Don't expect to see much of that from the skaters. The ice tour is all about singing and dancing, not so much angst. Audiences can expect to hear renditions of "Stick to the Status Quo" and "Get'cha Head in the Game," in addition to tunes from last summer's "High School Musical 2." The show runs at Richmond Coliseum Oct. 5-7. $16-$86. Call 262-8100 for show times or visit www.richmondcoliseum.net.
