The jail-bait boys in Iceage had to interrupt their last tour in order to finish up high school back home in Copenhagen, Denmark. But they’re back stateside this summer with a five-week tour. The fiery pop-punk songs on the group’s debut CD, “New Brigade,” have critics (even the ones at Pitchfork) all abuzz — some are calling it the best new band of 2011. You can make your own call when the Danes bring their thrash and gnash to the River City. Iceage plays Strange Matter on Friday, Aug. 12, at 9 p.m. $8. 447-4763.
