Hot, Sweaty Nuts at Alley Katz

Despite the death of Doug Clark in 2002, his Nuts are still hot and rousing audiences. The R&B vocal group is known for its risqué material, deemed controversial then and seems shockingly quaint in retrospect. Still, it's something scandalous hearing grown men sing songs with titles such as "He's Got the Whole World by the Balls," "Baby Let Me Bang Your Box" and "My Ding-A-Ling" in a public forum. The group is the alleged inspiration for the fictional band Otis Day and The Knights, so you won't mind if they dance with your date. Doug Clark's Hot Nuts featuring the Hilarious John Clark performs with Dick Butt Kiss & the Tightends and Prometheus Clay at Alley Katz Friday, Dec. 28, at 9 p.m. $8-$10. 643-2816.
