Home Front: What's Your Wattage?

To calculate the juice your hairdryer or dehydrator is squeezing per day, you can visit Virginia Dominion Power's Web site at www.dom.com and enter the wattage of your appliance and the number of minutes you use it per day into the appliance energy usage calculator. Or you can invest in the handy dandy Kill-O-Watt, found at www.p3

international.com. For $39.95, it figures out all of those numbers for you.
