Hell's Jingle Bells

When more than two dozen members of the band look like they've been featured in Spin magazine and the composers have a kind of Blue-Oyster-Cult-at-the-North-Pole thing going on, it may feel like a little something extra has gotten into Santa's cookies. The annual coming of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "holiday rock opera" promises to meld holiday cheer with the big guitars and big lasers of arena rock, along with a touch of R&B, gospel and Broadway. It's a holiday pageant with pyrotechnics. Showtimes are Saturday, Dec. 22, at 3 and 8 p.m. at the Richmond Coliseum. Tickets are $32-$47. Call 780-4970 or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
