Why are you running as an independent? I feel I am truly an independent. Of the people, for the people. The people who have spent their lives supporting the parties in the manner the parties have become accustomed with the best of salary, insurance, retirement and leisure time needs to have someone looking out for them every now and then. As the song goes, "Every now and then, I want to talk about me."
Why aren't you running as a Democrat or Republican? As an Independent, why would I do that?

Which political party do you more closely identify with? Truthfully, probably Republican
How do you differ most from them? I am not doing it for the spot light or money and I don't appear to be excessively over weight.
What changes would bring you into the Democratic or Republican fold? None, Being an Independent gives me the best of both worlds. I don't think either of the parties will always have the best person for the job every election and being Independent gives me a choice.
How did you arrive at your political convictions? The politicians have shown me what not to be when I grow up.
Are you running to win, or running to bring attention to certain issues? To win. I have been trying to bring attention to certain issues for 6+ years by writing letters to the Editor. It hasn't worked.
Who is your political hero? Ronald Reagan, soon to be replaced by Presidential Candidate Fred Thompson.
