Halloween Shows Aplenty

There’s an abundance of melodic creepy crawls to consider this Halloween. Deciding where to go depends on what part of the city you want to fly your freak flag. On Broad Street, Richmond jamtronica stalwarts the Former Champions and the Silo Effects play the fourth annual Halloween Costume Extravaganza at the Camel. And folked-up capital city rockers the Northerners and Dirty Picture Show bring the pleasure of tones to Emilio’s. From there, it’s just a hop, skip and a jump to Strange Matter to catch J. Roddy Walston and the Business and their show-tune take on classic rock with the Trillions and Sports Bar. In Carytown, RVA Magazine hosts Terror Triangle with New York Deli, Portrait House and Don’t Look Back joining forces for a night of Bobby Labeat-fueled dancing, prizes and surprises. It’s scary how much is going on this All Hallows’ Eve. Just remember not to live it up so much that you can never live it down.
